MORE ABOUT THE POWER TOOL
The Power Tool is an experimental web application that attempts to measure the power of individuals, and an artwork created by Jon Brunberg within the framework of the project "Power as metaphysics and measurable unit".
You answer a series of questions about yourself and your ambitions and influence. A power value will be calculated from your answers, which you can anlayse with a set of tools, and compare with other users.
All users together produce a global Power Value Index (PVI).You can influence this index and your own power value by rating the weights of the questions and answers, and thereby contribute to a Power Value Index which becomes more "democratic" with the number of users modifying it.
This is a free service. You won't have to sign up in order to measure and analyse your power, but registration with a valid e-mail address is necessary if you want to follow your power over time. Registration will of course enhance your experience in the long run.
Personal data, such as e-mail address, is never saved together with the answers you give in the questionnaire, as long as you don't sign up. Read more about the registration process and privacy issues in our privacy policy. By using the service you are accepting our terms of use.

Each answer in the questionnaire generates a number of points from 1 to 10, which are weighed according to the importance of the question. The average of all weighed answers is your power value. The points given to each answer are fixed, while the weights are determined by all users. Read more about how the questionnaire is processed here.
The aim with this service is not to deliver empirically verifyable data. It's impossible because of the complexity of power. The tool might nevertheless be of great value for those who want to know more about their power.
The application is currently in version 0.8.0.
